Muhammed Ali's 50 years old gloves which he wore when he won the world
heavyweight championship title for the first time from Sonny Linston
in Miami Beach, Florida, in February 1964 was on saturday sold for
$837K.
The gloves were kept by Ali's personal trainer Angelo Dundee right
after the legendary match, until his death in February 2012.
After that they remained at his son's, who decided to sell them on the
50th anniversary of the fight to help pay family medical bills. Part
of the money is promised to the Muhammed Ali Foundation. The buyer is
still unknown as reports have it that he/she wished to remain
anonymous.
