In a recent interview with Encomium magazine, Funke
Akindele's estranged husband revealed he was
building a house for his wife
before she ended the marriage. It's a one-storey
building (uncompleted) located off Adeniji Jones in
Ikeja
Mr Oloyede, funke's husband said he's not happy about what people have been saying about him online,
"They wrote that I am a tout, from what you are
seeing here now, do I look like a tout or garage
boy? They also said I'm a drop out, from the way
you and I have been speaking, do I speak like
someone who did not go to school?
I have decided to follow the advice of those who
said I should not join issues with her and her
supporters. I am not a celebrity. I am an estate
developer. She is the star that has her career to
protect and I don't want to be the one to spoil her
career" - mr oloyede

Tension in the Senate as 11 PDP senators decamped to APC

After failing to come up with a reasonable excuse why he happily allow Senators to decamp from their party to PDP in the past, Senate President David Mark cited a court order and declined to accept the defecting 11 PDP Senators' letter who have indicated their intention to join the APC. At a closed door session of the Senate on Wednesday, Mark reportedly said he would not accept the letter until the injunction restraining him and House of Reps Speaker Aminu Tambuwal is vacated. But Tambuwal has been reading letters of Senators who who are moving from APC to PDP and from PDP to APC, so what exactly is holding Mark if not the fear the fear of the unknown? Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan has approved a bill banning gay marriage and same-sex partnerships that sparked international condemnation, his spokesman said on Monday. "I can confirm that the president has signed the bill into law," Goodluck Jonathan's spokesman Reuben Abati told AFP, without specifying a date but adding that it happened earlier this month. Abati said Jonathan signed off on the Same Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Bill 2013 because it was consistent with the attitudes of most people towards homosexuality in the west African nation. "More than 90 percent of Nigerians are opposed to same sex marriage. So, the law is in line with our cultural and religious beliefs as a people," he added.
