Crowd camp out overnight for a chance to get their hands on Balmain merchandise




It's the most highly-anticipated collection of the year and after much anticipation, the Balmain x H&M launch has caused chaos on the streets around the world.

Many of the most eager shoppers from across the globe spent more than 24 hours camped outside their local H&M store in order to ensure that they would have a chance of snagging items from the hotly-anticipated collaboration. See more photos after the cut..


Many customers spent the night lounging in chairs and curled up in blankets. Some customers paid up to $20 dollars an hour for someone else to stand in line for them and it seemed worth the wait and effort as they proudly showed off their purchases.

Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan has approved a bill banning gay marriage and same-sex partnerships that sparked international condemnation, his spokesman said on Monday. "I can confirm that the president has signed the bill into law," Goodluck Jonathan's spokesman Reuben Abati told AFP, without specifying a date but adding that it happened earlier this month. Abati said Jonathan signed off on the Same Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Bill 2013 because it was consistent with the attitudes of most people towards homosexuality in the west African nation. "More than 90 percent of Nigerians are opposed to same sex marriage. So, the law is in line with our cultural and religious beliefs as a people," he added. "And I think that this law is made for a people and what (the) government has done is consistent with the preference of its environment." Tension in the Senate as 11 PDP senators decamped to APC

After failing to come up with a reasonable excuse why he happily allow Senators to decamp from their party to PDP in the past, Senate President David Mark cited a court order and declined to accept the defecting 11 PDP Senators' letter who have indicated their intention to join the APC. At a closed door session of the Senate on Wednesday, Mark reportedly said he would not accept the letter until the injunction restraining him and House of Reps Speaker Aminu Tambuwal is vacated. But Tambuwal has been reading letters of Senators who who are moving from APC to PDP and from PDP to APC, so what exactly is holding Mark if not the fear the fear of the unknown?
